The Open Mic at Grove Station event is a music open mic event that provides an opportunity for musicians to share their music with an engaged audience. The open mic event is designed as an acoustic instrument event. There will be guitar cables available to plug in your instrument, as well as microphones available to mic an instrument. We will typically have keyboard available as well for piano numbers. We are not allowing electric guitars, pedal boards, drums, or other instruments that require a significant amount of setup/teardown and sound checks.

Each performer will be allowed up to 2 songs in a set. The event is designed to allow as many musicians the opportunity to play as possible, meaning we are looking for very quick changes between performers to provide the audience with a constant music experience (little down time). If there is additional time available, performers may play additional songs at the end of the rotation.

Performers are more than welcome to promote their music! Please introduce yourself to the audience, talk about your music, coming releases, invite the audience to follow you on social, etc. 

There is also a merch table at the event for musicians to further promote their music, share download cards, etc. You would be fully responsible for collecting payments for your merch (we will not be managing the table), but we want to give you an opportunity to promote your music as much as possible. 

Due to the increased number of performance requests from local musician, this event will now function as a true open mic. The signup sheet will be posted 30-minutes prior to the start of the event, and musicians are encouraged to come early to sign up for the time slot they prefer. 

Any performers must abide by the event rules, as outlined below. Explicit or violent content is not allowed for this event.
